Bleeding gums are the early signs of disease. A build up of plaque and tartar will allow the disease to progress. This may lead to the gum and bone around the teeth to begin to recede. Sometimes the gum recedes with the bone and sometimes it doesn't. Either way, the tooth may become mobile if left untreated.
Regular dental examinations at Craigmillar Dental Centre, allow the early detection of gum disease and treatment will be offered to maintain healthy gums.
