Single Implant

A single implant is the gold standard for the replacement of a missing tooth. This procedure avoids compromising adjacent teeth, by the preparation of a hole in the jaw bone at the site of the missing tooth. An implant is inserted and a healing cap fitted. When the implant has healed, normally in the region of 6 months, the healing cap is exposed and an abutment is inserted. A crown is then fitted to the abutment.
